The Hunt County GOP Club 5 August 2006 was a major success.  We had over 80 people in attendance.  Amoung the guests that joined us were Congressman Ralph Hall, Representative Dan Flynn, County Attorney Joel Littlefield, County Judge Elect John Horn, SREC Woman Cindy Burkett, SREC Man John Cook, Jeff Guyton Canidate for JP, Aaron Williams Canidate for JP, Andy Bench Canidate for Judge, Greenville City Councilman Chris Braken and the County Chair Mickey Mixson.

Our Special Guest Speaker was Kirby Clark of the Texas Minuteman Civil Defense Corps.  He gave an indepth and though provoking talk on the threats involved with illeagal immigration and the steps that the Minuteman are taking to alert the authorities.  Congressman Hall gave us an update on his efforts in Washington DC to promote our conservative agenda and the real need for us to return a Conservative Republican Majority to the Congress.  Representative Dan Flynn spoke to us of about pending legislation in the Texas House and his plans for the future.  The Williams Family Band played two sets of Gospel
and Bluegrass music.  Their music and singing were outstanding. 

The Hunt County GOP Club Awards Committee presented the first of three awards that we are giving out this Year.  Dale Money, The Hunt County GOP Club Treasurer presented the "2006 Hunt County GOP Club Volunteer of the Year Award" to Bill Hocutt.

The Next Club event will be Monday September 11th at the Crossroads Church in the Family Life Assembly building.  Our Special Guest Speaker will be Mary Tipps of the Texas For Lawsuit Reform.
